This greenrider was searched from the Harper Hall a few turns into her apprenticeship as a dancer. Quick, lithe and intelligent, she led her wing the same way-- she was always aware of who is where in formation, and how they were doing, making her excellent in threadfall and, later, in simple drills. Her sense of rhythm always had formations changing without skipping a beat.

Sisha was Wingsecond of Icicle for many turns before, after L'vae stepped down, she was promoted to Wingleader of Avalanche in turn 19. Later that turn, K'del became Weyrleader and officially Wingleader of Avalanche, although in practice most of that duty continued to fall to Sisha. She resumed leadership of the wing turns later, leading Avalanche until her retirement at the very beginning of Turn 39.

• Sisha is that rarity in High Reaches Weyr's fighting wings, a female wingleader and a greenrider to boot. By now, she's generally considered to be a solid, respected wingleader as well... and, after all, it is Interval.
• Her Avalanche did not show up for the second mock Threadfall that Taikrin held over Tillek (day 9, month 9, Turn 31 of Interval 10) but did for the third over Crom.
• Early in Turn 32, she accepted Azaylia's offer of the Acting Weyrleader position, until such time as either queen rose again.

History

Sisha was Searched from the Harper Hall a few Turns into her apprenticeship as a dancer, and then Impressed green Balreth. Quick, lithe and intelligent, she was promoted to wingsecond of Icicle with relative speed and applied those same traits to that role. Always aware of who is where in her wing, she was and is able to pull a wingrider back into formation before it's even become evident to others that they have fallen out, and her sense of rhythm has formations changing without skipping a beat.

Sisha stayed Icicle's wingsecond for quite some time under the consistent leadership of bronzerider F'der. When brownrider L'vae (who hadn't been a full rider for long) stepped down from his brief tenure as wingleader of Avalanche in Turn 19 of the Interval, she was promoted to wingleader of that wing. This created some controversy since she wasn't previously an Avalanche rider, but as it turned out, she didn't hold that position for long. When wingrider K'del became Weyrleader later that Turn, he took official leadership of the wing rather than taking over Glacier which had been the previous Weyrleader's wing. As it turned out, this was in name only; he left Sisha almost entirely alone to run the wing as she chose. Finally, when K'del stepped down after Iolene's death, Sisha took over Avalanche in her own right.

Avalanche did not show up for the first protested 'fake Fall' of Taikrin's and Sisha was outwardly unhappy to have been forced by the queens, which is most definitely public knowledge. What isn't so publicly known is that Sisha's been uncertain about the whole mess and was swayed by K'del's pressure, having worked with K'del for so many Turns and still having some time for him.

For the most part, Sisha gets along very well with her wingriders and well enough with her fellow wingleaders. With the latter, she often listens to discussions and then finds the right place in the rhythm to jump in. She's aware that she's technically held her position for a shorter duration than most, and that her position may be comparatively precarious.

Sisha has been weyrmated three times; her first weyrmate died in Fall. She has one daughter, who did not Impress and with whom she's not particularly close, several grandchildren, and at least a couple great-grandchildren.

For companionship, Sisha primarily relies upon friends rather than family, particularly old comrades-in-arms. She's also been known to mentor up and coming riders at times.
