Dark, shiny chestnut hair is worn in a chin length bob, easy curls gently framing Brieli's heart-shaped face. The same brown tones as her tresses lightly warm her tan skin, color long-lashed chocolate eyes, and darken graceful brows. Cupid's-bow lips curve into a smile often and easily, if sometimes enigmatically. Tall and almost too thin, she has the lean lines and long toughened fingers of a young woman that has known a day or two of hard work. She dresses the best she can, and to emphasize long legs - usually in tight pants, high boots, and stylish tops to match - but now mostly in the oldest clothes she can find, usually dirtied from weyrling chores.

Brieli's father was a miner, her mother was a seamstress.  Her father died in a mining accident - a fairly common occurrence at Crom; her mother raised her until she was about sixteen, when a bad cold worsened one winter.  She'd learned most of her trade from her mother already, and picked up a few more skills from helping out where she could - enough skills to make her restless, especially with no ties to keep her near the mines.  It wasn't much more than a month after her eighteenth turnday before she left to start over at High Reaches.

If she wanted vengeance on the Weyr, she might have done something when she named ''herself'' Acting Weyrwoman -- other than try to keep things running at a turbulent time. Whatever her reasons for stepping up, they're as mysterious as her reasons for stepping down by hanging her knot in the living cavern and refusing all duties, mere months before Hraedhyth rose to make Azaylia Senior Weyrwoman and end the uncertainty of the past turns.

One might have expected some trouble from Aishani, particularly with K’del (who she openly hates and openly blames for her father’s death) taking the Weyrleadership in the wake of Z’ian’s injury. But one day, she returned to duties as abruptly as she stopped (though the minimum required, yes) and changed her knot back to from wingrider to weyrwoman. In the meantime, she kept herself busy with her trips to Fort and whatever else it is she did outside of the Weyr - generally more outside than inside. Was it good or bad? Opinions were mixed.
