Description

Long shiny chestnut hair is worn loose, in easy curls that frame Aishani's heart-shaped face and tumble down past her shoulders artfully. The same brown tones as her tresses lightly warm her tan skin, color long-lashed dark chocolate eyes, and shade graceful brows. Cupid's-bow lips curve into a smile often and easily, if sometimes enigmatically. Tall and slender, she has the lean lines and long toughened fingers of a young woman accustomed to working with her hands. She dresses to emphasize long legs and minimal curves - most usually in close-fitting trousers or leathers, short skirts, high boots, and stylish tops in light, bright colors to match. She rarely wears a knot, but for the one on her wine-dark riding jacket - that of a weyrwoman with High Reaches' colors.

Background

Brieli came to the weyr and claimed her father was a miner, her mother was a seamstress. Her father died in a mining accident - a fairly common occurrence at Crom; her mother raised her until she was about sixteen, when a bad cold worsened one winter. She'd learned most of her trade from her mother already, and picked up a few more skills from helping out where she could - enough skills to make her restless, especially with no ties to keep her near the mines. It wasn't much more than a month after her eighteenth turnday before she left to start over at High Reaches.

At least, that's what she said.

Turns out she's actually Aishani Vijay, daughter of Rajiv, bent on revenge for his execution. Now she runs the Weyr. Isn't that great?!

• Aishani was known as 'Brieli' at High Reaches until the spring of Turn 31.
• She is really the daughter of Rajiv Vijay, executed at HRW in Turn 19.
• Early in Turn 31, she reportedly named herself Acting Weyrwoman.
• She Impressed gold Iesaryth at Monaco Weyr at the end of Turn 28.
• She spent her time with Azaylia in the past, more with Jo and Vienne now.
• Dark in humor and in outlook, she's still relatively sociable and informal.
• Fort's Vhaeryth and his rider visit Iesaryth's ledge regularly...
• Despite the rumors she tried to fix Iesaryth's maiden flight in their favor.

Relationships

• Alida - There's commonalities. Needs to learn control.

• Azaylia - Always too kind, too nice. I tried to tell you I wasn't a good person from the start.

• Barnabas - Blunting a weapon doesn't make it harmless. But... seems nice enough. It's just weird, crashing on her couch.

• C'wlin - Potentially useful. Ambitious, maybe still. Bright enough.

• D'kan - Observant, smart. Allies, especially now, are appreciated.

• E'sren - It's nice to have someone around who grew up the same sort of way... and actually feels badly about the past.

• H'kon - Seriously? F*ck that guy. Won't even defend himself.

• I'kris - A death that will be carried for a long time, with too many echoes in the past. And it's not the same.

• Iolene - Gone too soon, and whose fault is that? I wish you'd come to me sooner.

• Jo - If anyone could truly understand, it's her. Possibly the beginning of a profitable partnership. I'm glad we could come to trust one another.

• K'del - Weak. Given quarter, but never forgiven. There's no way to pay your debt.

• K'zin - He doesn't know what he wants to be. If he doesn't decide, he'll be his dragon's creature entirely.

• Leova - Admirable. Too smart and observant to ignore or be entirely comfortable around. Probably was there; not sure how to deal with that.

• Liv - Up to something. Maybe nothing important. (Maybe paranoia.)

• Madilla - It's good to have someone so inherently trustworthy as Weyrhealer. She could be so dangerous.

• N'ky - Harmless.

• N'rov - Strength and weakness, the best thing that's happened, outside of Iesaryth.

• Quinlys - She's doing a good job. I'm glad she got the chance; like most people, she does deserve one.

• R'hin - Not to be trusted, hiding something. But if he knows something now, does it matter?

• Sabella - Another of the Crom lot, seems bright so far. They should be.

• Taikrin - Maybe not as straightforward and upfront as expected, but an excellent ally. We understand each other surprisingly well.

• Telavi - Smart girl. If she's one of Jo's pickups, ought to be interesting.

• Vienne - Pays attention to the meaning of conversation, and a little too neutral - but it's nice to have someone to talk to.

• Z'ian - Initiative is a good thing in a person, though it's difficult to sort out how to handle it. But if Jo says he's okay...
