Alida

Description
Aloof yet aware, disinterested yet keenly observant, this rather stoic young woman seems to radiate an aura of self-confidence, poised intent, and capability, her quiet gaze silently speaking of years of experience one of her relative age should not likely possess.
The straight and thick, yet fine white gold silk of her hair is gathered by a simple, deep green leather tie at nape into a tri-part braid which terminates at lower back. Slender brows of white-gold arch gently over deep-hued eyes, and smaller ears with tiny lobes - set flush against her head - taper gently up to the vaguest hints of peaks, while slightly sensual lips of palest rose are oft twitched into a mocking bit of a smirk, or thinned in some sort of vague displeasure. Skin is very fair, perfect companion to bewitching eyes and moon worshipping tresses.
The tests and travails of a rather difficult life tell in the cool frostfire behind her gaze, the subtle little lines at brow and corners of mouth which deepen at the pull of more negative emotions. There is strength and deep determination within this one - a challenge offered, or dark intent promised - when she looks upon others, her chin at times lifting just so, eyes flashing with hints of what lies within. The column of her fair throat is slender-seeming and arching, the pulse of her life thudding deeply within.
A long-sleeved, cream-colored, button-up shirt of cotton envelops Alida's torso, clinging modestly to curves and lines. Its neck is partially-opened and fanned out into a 'v', the arms crisply rolled up to three-quarters length, the fabric tucked perfectly into her pants. Her arms are whipcord firm, the play of strong muscles just evident until flexed - then bunching and flowing with rippling grace and power - trailing into small wrists and smallish hands with long, graceful fingers tipped with short, clean nails.
At her waist is buckled a belt of brown weyrhide, from which depends a handful of various sheathed knives and daggers, as well as some various-sized beltpouches at the front and back. Riding just a bit low, perfectly-tailored, medium-brown leather riding pants - gently worked in, but quite new - gently hug modestly curved hips and a round rear, tapering down to disappear within the heavier cover of her footware. Darker brown, laced boots of fine-grained, new leather perfectly mould to shapely, strong legs, reaching to upper calf - their smaller size denoting feet that are likewise such.
Upon her left shoulder drapes the knot of a High Reaches blue rider, the patch upon the opposite shoulder of her riding jacket indicating Glacier Wing.
WYSK
She's originally a guard from Pars Hold, and will always be one, even if she's now a rider. You can take the warrior out of the war, but not vice-versa. She's a hard-ass, with little tolerance for foolishness or shallow behaviors, possessed of a 'take-it or leave it' attitude and a quirky temperament. Less-than-enthusiastic about mixing with most people, and enjoying a very active lifestyle (including the occasional, joyous fistfight), she's a fierce flame that enough times can scorch friend as well as foe.
History
She's told very few people of her past, except for Jo, K'zin, G'laer, and Edyis...and then only lesser amounts of it. Summed up, Alida's grown up in a hold all her life, though not protected or pampered. She's a guard (with enough that might imply) through and through...but she's disaffected and angry, full of jaded bitterness beyond her scant years from a rougher life. Apparently, both her parents are dead.
Relationships
From her own lips, Alida has only a friend or two back at Pars hold. That's fine with her. As for others:
Azaylia :You can be so damned kind and supportive, firm and yet non-judgemental. I wish I could allow myself to get closer, but that's too dangerous for us both. Well, more for me. Your apparent devotion to the truth is both appealing and aggravating. I really do enjoy our interactions; and while you both accept me for who and what I am while also always calmly speaking in blunt fashion about things others might leave alone, you often leave me feeling more centered, even a little peaceful. For those, I truly have no words, beyond 'Thank you.'
Devaki : I know you're ambitious, calculating, smooth. I sense you could be ruthless - even cruel - given the 'proper' circumstances...as well as loyal to a select few. It does matter to me that you took the time, effort to try and set at least a few things straight back at Pars, but I don't fool myself into thinking that was only for my benefit.
Edyis: It's too bad you're finding out about all the shit in the world - human and otherwise - at the hands of past-masters well-acquainted with it. I wish I had the guts to keep you at arms-distance - to insure you don't look up to me, at least - but I guess I'm too effing weak. Just remember what I taught you, whether on purpose or by accident...ALL of it.
G'laer: At least you get a few of the 'whys' about me. It's hard to trust again - especially with all the secrecy I sense about you - but at least I can try to enjoy our occasional bouts together as Guards and (sort-of) friends. I will say this, though: you're a real effing twerp, sometimes.
Jaecar : Thank you, Farsights, for showing me how to trust a little again, in some ways...and for enough other firsts. Why is it that only after your loss I find myself admitting how much you meant to me? Rest in peace, Master of the Tops; I'll never look at the sea in the same way ever again.
Jo : You get me, I think. You're feisty, fun...and a double-edged sword just as likely to cut 'friend' as well as foe, if they don't watch out. I know what you were, and at least some of what you are. Who am I to judge, in this? As long as you don't cross certain lines around me, we're really tight, Wingmate. Note: Ilicaeth really enjoys Tacuseth's company. This is a plus, in my book.
K'zin : I offered an opening back to friendship...and you knifed me in the proverbial gut. If I could afford to, I'd pretend like you never existed. But I know better, in my gut. Monitor keenly while ignoring utterly; do *not* trust.

I Am A: Chaotic Neutral Human Druid (4th Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-18
Dexterity-17
Constitution-16
Intelligence-13
Wisdom-14
Charisma-13
Alignment:
Chaotic Neutral A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.
Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class:
Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.
